Vending Machine Slot Rental

If you have a product you’d like to sell via vending machines, but not enough variety to warrant the rental of an ENTIRE machine, then you can consider renting a slot in an existing machine we are already managing and earn yourself some passive income. Here are some FAQs:

1: “I’d like to sell Coca-cola” / “I’d like to sell bottled drinks!” / “I’d like to sell Snickers / Lay’s / Pringles”, “How do I go about renting a slot for these items?”

We are ALREADY selling these items in our machines, so we WILL NOT rent you the slot(s) to sell these exact same items.

We are only offering slot rentals if you are selling something we do not stock. Examples include Pokemon cards, fragrances, toys, specially imported snacks, handmade items, etc. If in doubt, just check with us first. *You should already be a distributor of these products. Do not waste time/money importing these just to place in our machines, ok? Think of us as just another channel for you to sell EXISTING products in your inventory.

2: “How much does it cost to rent a slot?”

When you rent a slot, you pay us UPFRONT rental and pass us your products (all documented in black-and-white so no worries), and we’ll do the top-ups on your behalf, and pass you the sales proceeds at the end of the rental term.

This means (1) WE NEED TO KEEP THE STOCK and (2) WE NEED TO HANDLE THE TOPUPS. If your item is slim and light (e.g. Pokemon cards), you get preferential rental rates. If your item is heavy / bulky (e.g. 500ml beverage or a 1kg item), there will be no discount.

So contact us only after you’ve decided WHAT you wish to sell, give us the dimensions and weight of the product, and we’ll let you know what is the fee payable. The majority of our slot renters pay $50/slot/month. Minimum of 2 months rental.

3: “Do you charge anything else apart from slot rental fee?”

No, we do not. For instance, if you are paying us $50/month for a slot to sell a particular item from your company, we take only the $50 from you. ALL the sales proceeds from that particular slot / product will be given to you at the end of the rental term. We do not deduct any further commissions, etc.

4: “How much do you think I’ll make from renting a slot?”

That’s what everyone wants to know, right? But we can offer no guarantees. How much you make will depend on what you intend to sell. For instance, if it’s an item that is trendy but hard to find (e.g. Labubu when it was super popular), you could potentially make good money just from selling a few of these, as the Labubus, at the peak of their popularity, were being sold for anything between $50 and $65 per piece, with some special ones going at $350 or more.

Example 1:

If you are going to sell a canned beverage (that costs maybe $1.30 or slightly more) from your own brand, then you need to do the math. Say one slot in our machine can stock just 5 cans, and we do topups three times a week, that means that even if your item SELLS OUT every single time, the maximum number of cans we can sell on your behalf is 15 in a week / 60 in a month. And if you are paying $50 for slot rental, and the maximum number of cans sold is 60 in a month, you may not be making money at the end of the month.

Example 2:

If you are selling Pokemon cards, or something of the same size, we can stock 15 of them in a slot. So assuming only one-third is sold each time we go do our topups, that means you sell 15 a week, or 60 a month. And assuming slot rental is $30, and you make $1 profit per pack of cards, you would make $30 profit after deducting slot rental cost.

Please crunch the numbers yourself before contacting us. Thank you very much!

We paid a slot renter $1277 on 20th Feb 2026. His product was Pokemon cards. 🙂 The hottest item: Prismatic Evolutions! No matter how many packs he passed to us, we sold them all.

5: “Please provide a list of all the locations your machines are at. I’ll pick where I want to place my product(s).”

This is business-sensitive information that we do not provide to people who are not our existing customers. If you trust us to do a good job with stocking and selling your product in our machine(s), then let us do the work first and be the ones selecting the best machine/location on your behalf.

We provide photo and video proof that the product has been successfully stocked in our machine, and all transactions will be documented in black-and-white, so there’s nothing to worry about.

6: “Your brand new vending machine rental fee is $500. How is this different from a slot rental fee?”

$500 machine rental fee is for the WHOLE machine. You pay us $500 and you have use of our machine for 1 month. You find your own location, stock the machine with your own products, and whatever money you make / don’t make, it is ALL for YOU to keep!

Slot rental fee is typically not so high. It is usually between $60 and $100 per month per slot. In this case, you pass us the products, and we’ll do the restocking on your behalf. Monies collected will be paid in full to you.

7: “How will I receive the sales proceeds at the end of the slot rental term?”

We’ll send you the sales proceeds via PayLah / PayNow within 7 days of the end of the slot rental term. You will need to collect any balance stock within 14 days of the end of the slot rental term. Thereafter, we will dispose of any uncollected items.

*There have been instances of slot renters requesting to get paid in the middle of the slot rental term. This is not what we agreed on, and certainly not as per contract signed. This makes accounting messy because we need to track how much was paid out, and when. Also, this means we cannot do a Tiktok post on the total (big) amount sent to the slot renter at the end of the slot rental term. We will, of course, pay you whenever you want (just in case you are in great need of money). However, this means you will not be our Preferred Renter and not enjoy any of the (free) perks that Preferred Renters get, such as free extension of rental period, free placement in multiple locations and not just one, etc.

8: “How should I pass you the stocks?”

We’ll arrange a meetup, likely in Bishan / Braddell area to collect the stock from you. We will count the items given to us and indicate this in the contract. This whole transaction will be documented in black-and-white, with one copy for you and one copy for us. This ensures we are on the same page when it comes to details about how much stock was given to us, the selling price for each item, the exact rental term start date and end date, and the slot rental fee you have paid to us.

9: “What happens if the stock runs out before the rental term ends?”

Assuming your product is super popular, we will know within one week whether you have provided enough stock to last the whole month. We will ask you for additional stock if we anticipate that there will not be enough. Thus, we will meet up again, get stock from you, count, document it in black-and-white.

10: “Will you be able to provide an update / report on the sales of the item?”

Yes, we will. We can provide fortnightly updates on the sales of the item, or weekly updates if it’s selling fast. We won’t be able to do daily updates so please do not request for such.

Some slot renters will repeatedly ask for updates, e.g. every 5 or 7 days. If you think this seems like they’re micro-managing, yes. Is it stressful? Yes. Annoying? Very much so. Naturally, they are NOT our Preferred Renters and will not receive free perks such as complimentary rental term extension.

Just trust us to do a good job because we’d LOVE to sell A LOT of your product and transfer you a huge sum so we can make Tiktok content out of it too.

11: “OK if I wish to sell condoms in the rented slot?”

Our machines are mainly in offices and condominiums. Condoms are not exactly suitable for these locations. We would not want to invite complaints from concerned supervisors / managers, or residents who don’t want (young) children having access to these items. We currently do not have machines in/outside hotels, where condoms would be a lot more welcome.

You can stock other products which are unlikely to elicit complaints. Examples include fragrances, imported snacks, toys, IT-related items e.g. headphones, collectibles, stationery, books, etc. If in doubt, just drop us an email at sgvendingmachine (at) gmail (dot) com.

12: “May I do the topups myself?”

No. We will not hand you the keys to our machines. We will be the only ones doing the topup. IF you are so keen on doing topups yourself, please find your own location and rent or purchase an entire machine. Then you can do all the topups as and when you wish.

13: “Who decides on pricing of my products – you or me?”

YOU provide the products and decide on their pricing. We will simply print the pricetags and price them according to YOUR wishes. That said, in the event of poor sales, we may ask you whether you wish to reduce prices or offer a bundle deal, etc.

14: “What are the best ways to ensure good sales for my products?”

Firstly, pass us only your bestsellers. If your game controller typically sells best in the colour red, hand us only the red ones. Don’t waste time with blue, white, black, etc. Similarly, if you sell cookies in various flavours, and you know Banana Chocolate is the usual favourite, then don’t waste time with giving us Mocha, Almond, etc.

Secondly, if customers can ‘sample’ your product before buying, hand us those samples, e.g. tester strips with the perfume, small sample packs of your confectionery.

Thirdly, provide photos (e.g. polaroids) of your product in use (e.g. sling bag being modeled) so customers can immediately see whether it’s something that they’ll want to buy.

Finally, let us know the USP of your product. For instance, if it’s specially imported from Dubai, tell us! So we can print a sticker label for that particular slot or box. If it’s viral on Tiktok, or has sold a million units since launch, tell us, so we can state that to attract buyers. (Other examples: “100% organic”, “0 sugar / 0 calorie”, “High in Protein”)

15: “What are your Preferred Renters like?”

I’m glad you asked. First up, they trust us. They know that we want the rental sales to be superb so that we can make Tiktok content out of it after. So they don’t hound us day and night for the numbers (c’mon la, just $50/month AND get micro-managed?!)

Secondly, there are slot renters who go all out with their packaging – heat sealing, stickers which state what customers may expect, etc. This even tempts US to buy some of their products! 😀 These guys are our Preferred Renters. We’d happily give them free rental extensions because there are repeat purchases from the customers. AND we’ll get to do Tiktok content on the large(r) sum paid out to them after. 🙂

Most importantly, they rent more than one slot. If it’s just one product, it’ll be a hit-or-miss. IF you’re renting three slots and, say, two of the products are doing OK but there’s no sale for the third item, we can allow you to swap out the third product for another item. If you’re renting just one slot… then, well, it’s not really worth our time to meet up again just for a swap. This is also stated in the contract we’ve signed – that there will be no change of product. At our convenience, we’ll move that sole product to another machine/location, but if sales continues to be lacklustre then *shrugs* your maximum ‘loss’ is capped at the rental sum paid, which could be just $100.

~

In summary, if you wish to rent a slot in one of our machines, make sure your product is:

Something we are NOT already selling

Is entirely authentic / genuine / NOT an inspired/dupe/fake product.

Is entirely lawful for sale. So NO gum, v@pes, unlicensed products, etc.

And hopefully, you’ll be one of our Preferred Renters too. 😉
